دار الحجر
تقع دار الحجر في وادي ظهر أحد منتزهات صنعاء الواقعة في الجهة الشمالية الغربية على بعد (14 كم) ، ويشتهر هذا الوادي بروعة تضاريسه ، وخضرة بساتينه النتجة للفواكه والأعناب المتنوعة ، وما يزيده جمالاً وروعة ، بنا دار جميله فوق قمة صخرية في أعلاه ، عرفت بدار الحجر ، نسبة على الصخرة الجرانيتية التي بنيت عليها في (القرن 18 م ).
لقد قام بتصميم الدار على أنقاض معبد قديم علي بن صالح العماري الذي أشتهر بالهندسة المعمارية والفلك ، وكان عالماً واسع المعرفة ، كما صمم كثيراً من البيوت والدور ، إلا أن أهمها هي دار الحجر ، التي بقيت شامخة على مر السنين ، حتى قام الأمام يحيى بن حميد الدين بإضافة الطابق الأعلى (المفرج ).
تزهو دار الحجر بشموخ أدوارها السبعة المتناغمة في تناسق بديع من التكوين الطبيعي للصخرة المقامة عليها ، إذ تجلت فيها عبقرية التصميم ودقة التنفيذ ، فقد أمتزجت واجهات الدار مع الطبيعة ، وتشكلت معها كقطعة فنية معمارية رائعة.
إنها تحفة معمارية ، ومزاراً سياحياً مفتوح أبوابه يومياً للزائرين ، الذين يرغبون في الإطلاع على أنموذج يعد أحد إبداعات فنون الهندسة المعمارية.
Dar Al Hajar
Dar Al Hajar is located in the valley of Dhahr , one of the parks that stretch out (14 km) to the northwest of Sana'a .The valley is know for its magnificent views and green orchards that produce a variety of fruits and graps . The valley is crowned with a jewel of house right atop its rocky summit .It is called Dar Al Hajar , after the granite rock on which it was erected .
The house was built on the ruins of an old temple in the eighth century AD by Ali bin Salah Al Ammari, who was famous for his architectural and astrological skills. He was an erudite scientist who designed several dwellings and house , the most important of which is Dar Al Hajar. The house remained as it was for years, till an upper floor was added by Imam Yahia bin Hamid Al Dien .
Dar Al Hajar is know for its elevated seven floor which are in natural harmony with the rock that they are built on . Creativity in design and accuracy of performance are apparent in the house whose façade blends in with nature to create an architectural tour de force .
Not surprisingly ,it is a very popular tourist site whose gates are open everyday to the many vistors who flock in to marvel at this architectural masterpiece.
